Ernie Hudson Joins Puppy Food Bank as Pet Rescue Ambassador

February 7, 2025San Antonio – The beloved actor Ernie Hudson, known for his iconic role as “Winston Zeddemore” in the Ghostbusters franchise, has taken on a new role that’s close to his heart. Hudson has been announced as the national ambassador for Puppy Food Bank, a nonprofit dedicated to providing essential food supplies to pet rescue organizations across the United States.

Puppy Food Bank has been making waves since its inception in 2022, expanding its efforts nationally in 2024. The organization currently supports 30 pet rescue organizations and aims to help even more with the assistance of their new ambassador.

Hudson, who has starred in over 200 films and television shows, including the hit BET series The Family Business, will be advocating for donations through a multimedia campaign starting this February.

“As a longtime animal advocate, I am proud to support Puppy Food Bank to help ensure pet rescue organizations across the U.S. are equipped with the necessary resources to save more pet lives,” said Hudson.
